First check with JIO that call waiting is supported by them.

I did contact JIO regarding the issue, before even posting the matter here. JIO executive said that every JIO number has this feature. I was however given a number *411 to dial and activate the service in case it was not ON.
I dialled the number to hear that the call waiting service is now active in your number. When I checked it was still unable to save the call waiting option.
I should test it. The feature is probably turned on. Using short codes like that is the preferable way to control all these features over the iPhone menus.
