Upgrade Mac system

Hello,

I have a Macbook Air from the beginning of 2014. The system is Macos 10.9.5. I wanted to upgrade it, but I have tried many ways following the instructions from the official site and it didn't work. I can not log in my App store using my Apple ID. Can I bring my Mac to the apple store for upgrading?

Thanks,

Lina

Did you use this link to get the upgrade. How to get old versions of macOS - Apple Support When signing into App Store. what messenger are you getting. Is it telling you the Apple ID or password is incorrect. Are you using Safari and have passwords stored in Safari preferences passwords. Also they would be stored in utilities keychain under system ,iCloud or login. You can check if it's correct by get info or in safari by entering you user password. If this don't help try reset options. If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support (IN)
