why can I not use office 2008 with my MacBook Pro? its trying to get me to upgrade to office 365.

Office 2008 is a 32 bit app. Maybe you are running a 64 bit MacOS (Catalina or newer).
is there a way of using the 32 bit version on version 15.2? I don't want to pay every year for office 365.
