Find My iPhone

i have just been woken up by the Find My iPhone alert, i hadn't triggered this and no other devices. Two factor authentication had been set up from the get go. This is the 2nd time this has happened and i have changed my password.

Why is this happening, could it be that someone is trying to access my account/ device?

Thanks

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 15

Check Find My on the phone MANUALLY, not clicking the blue link. Then you can check on icloud.com MANUALLY not clicking the blue link. I suspect all is well if you have been in complete control of the phone.

I suspect the blue link is phishing which takes you to scamming page to steal AppleID password.

People have creative ways of guessing your apppleid/phonenumber, sometimes through another person phone, sometimes watching you. That one little crack in the door is supposed to scare you. When you are unsure a link, go in the normal front door or call the official number to verify ... in anything.
