Desktop and Screen Saver with Monterey 12.2

I'm unable to link either the Screen Saver or the Desktop to a hard drive folder with Monterey 12.1. I had no such problem with Monterey 12.1 using the same computer: new MacBook Pro 14 inch. I've tried a restart. System defaults to Desktop Pictures or Colors.

Image file on desktop get directly deleted I got my new MacBook Pro last week and transferred my account from my old MacBook Pro (with Catalina) to the new one (with Monterey). Everything worked fine, but: Any image file (jpg, png) I move to the desktop disappears. This is even the case with Screenshots, they are visible for a half second and then disappear. I changed the folder for screenshots to download, no problem there. But the moment an image file is moved/copied to the desktop it gets deleted. I looked for hidden files, but there are no hidden files on the desktop. Any ideas/any help would be appreciated!

Monterey - Desktop Pictures Pane Blank I'm reaching out for help with a Monterey issue, although it could be a problem unrelated to Monterey. When I select 'Desktop & Screen Saver' in System Preferences I get a blank window in the desktop pictures tab - nothing at all. Selecting the Screen Saver tab shows all the screen saver options and is completely normal. I can manually 'right click' an image and set it as a desktop image via the drop down menu so there's nothing wrong with the desktop picture functionality. i've check in System/Library/Desktop Pictures and all the system pictures are in there including the legacy ones and the animated ones, so all good there. The computer is a late 2015 27" iMac and I did a clean install of Monterey followed by some selective file and app moving using the Migration Tool. This worked perfectly. Today i updated Monterey to v12.2 and that hasn't fixed the problem although it has fixed the issue of sometimes having to double click twice on a file to open it but that's another issue!

Final Cut Pro Trial not loading after Monterey OS Update (Invalid dylib load) I've looked everywhere for a solution to this problem and can't find anything that works. Basically, Final Cut Pro will not open on my computer (iMac Retina 5k, 2017) after updating to Monterey OS. I did a clean install of Final Cut Pro X multiple times with no luck. On my 2015 macbook pro running Big Sur I have no issues, so I'm assuming something happened during the OS upgrade. The exact error is "Invalid dylib load. Clients should not load the unversioned libcrypto dylib as it does not have a stable ABI." I located the "libcrypto.dylib" file on my mac and noticed that the alias is incorrect - it opens to a folder in my Adobe Photoshop for some reason. So I'm wondering if there's a way to fix the alias to correctly link to a versioned libcrypto dylib? Some people recommend linking to a specific "libcrypto.dylib" verson, but I have no idea to do that because I'm assuming that means changing the actual "exe" code of when Final Cut Pro loads and I have no idea how to do that. AND it seems to be an issue with the Monterey OS rather than the program. Looked everywhere for how to fix this issue and can't find a solution. I would like to avoid doing a clean install of the OS because it would take forever to backup all my files and reinstall... All other programs seem to be working fine, so not sure what's going on...

Turn the Arrow down next to Folders, highlight Pictures and click +

Navigate to the desired Folder via the Finder and click Choose.

Then select Folders or the desired Folder.
