Hi JawadHossen10,

Are you sure that you truly deleted the Downloads folder from your user account?

To check, follow these steps:

  1. Open a new Finder window.
  2. At the top of the screen, select Go -> Home.
  3. Check if the Downloads folder appears. If it does, you can drag it back to the sidebar.

If the Downloads folder doesn't appear, unfortunately the files inside it are most likely gone. Choose one of the following options:

  • Open the Time Machine app in the Applications folder and check if the Downloads folder was saved by a local snapshot. (By default, your Mac only makes these snapshots when Time Machine is enabled, but your backup disk isn't connected.)

  • Create a new empty Downloads folder: In your Home folder, create a new folder and name it "Downloads". macOS will understand what you're trying to do and will automatically apply the correct folder icon.
