How to import csv file to Calendar

I exported a csv file from Calendar. The export worked fine. Using Excel, I edited the csv file to delete duplicate events and saved the result as a new csv file. (Each row is an event; I just deleted selected rows; did not touch any data or headers.)

I would like to import those results back into a blank Calendar file. But when I do Calendar > File > Import there is no option to import a csv file. Based on some research it appears that I need to convert the csv file to ics format.

I have had no luck finding a way to convert it. Anyone know of a conversion utility or app or procedure to do this? All suggestions are welcome!
