Phone updates

If I have an alarm set, will my phone update just before the alarm? Which would clearly make the alarm not sound because the phone is still updating.

Updates I have a very new IPad (IPhone 12 Pro Max). I have set it for automatic updates. I currently have 15.4.1. I have tried plugging it in overnight but both times it says it can’t do the update because ‘an alarm is set’. I have checked my clock and no alarm is set. the updates have worked fine in the past.

iPad won't auto update because an alarm is set, but there are no alarms set I've never been able to automatically update my iPad. I get the notification, and leave it plugged in overnight. However, when I wake up, the update has not been installed and I am greeted with the following message: This update will try again later because there was an alarm set However, there are no alarms enabled on my iPad. Edit: I am aware that I can update manually, but I would like to get auto-update working.

My friends phone had alarms set but the phone had updated during the alarms causing them not to go off, I was just wanting to know if this was supposed to happen
