MacBook Pro - space bar won't work in Final Draft 12

Hi Anyone who uses Final Draft. I seem to have activated something re my space bar (at least I presume it's me). If I'm in Pages, the space bar works perfectly. I've been 'helped' by Final Draft 12 and they blame my computer. I've asked apple, they blame Final Draft. I've wasted a whole day, uninstalling, reinstalling, resetting defaults on keyboard and accessibility and of course restarting. I'd love some help please? Anna
