i just bought an iPhone 12 off of facebook. my sim card is still in my old phone so much for calling it. I was tired coming from work and either misplaced it somewhere in my house or left it at work. what can i do if it showing on my iCloud devices but not find my iPhone?

Sorry, but the Find my App is the only way to locate it in that case:

Did you enable Wi-Fi? You could try to send an iMessage, which does not require a SIM and works via Wi-Fi as well.
Then check if you can hear the tone for the received message.
