i have imac 2011 and it was only windows installed on it and i wanted to install mac os,
i used windows command to completely clean and format hard drive and convert to gpt and prepare bootable usb flash using transmac,
but now the question mark folder appears and nothing seems to work, i tried everything, command+r
option and all the shortcut keys
help me out here

Did you use the disk utility program to format your drive as "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" ?

If you boot into recovery, you should be able to use the disk utility, to format your drive to MacOS extended.
I would also recommend looking over Create a bootable installer for macOS. Remember the last version of Mac OS a 2011 iMac will run is High Sierra 10.13.6
