Teenagers can’t use Apply Pay

My teens are added to my family access as adults. They got new iPhones and now not able to use Apply Pay. Both are 16. When I go into settings to give them access their birthday year is greyed out. How can they get access to use Apple Pay to send and receive money.

  1. They are not adults so they need added as children.
  2. here is more information - To set up Apple Cash Family you must first close any accounts that children already had. Make sure that the balance is zero then go here - Manage your Apple Cash account - Apple Support next, go here - Set up and use Apple Cash Family. (Additional support links View and limit your child or teen's Apple Cash activity, Leave Apple Cash Family, Apple Cash and person to person payments limits)
