I do not know my firmware password and the lock icon shows up, I can't boot into recovery mode either

There are not many options for you if you forgot your firmware password. You would have to get an appointment at your local Apple Store. And then bring a proof of purchase for your Mac. Set a firmware password on your Mac - Apple Support
