Full Screen New Desktop

Does anyone know how to go into fullscreen mode without creating a new desktop? It's troublesome to scroll to the left and have that extra desktop there for no reason.

Thanks for the response! I know how to full screen. The issue is after you full screen, it creates a new desktop. I dont want that.

Hmmm... never heard this before.

Try a safe boot login and test. reboot as normal and test.

If it is a glitch it will clear system cache files...

Hi linguiny,

Unfortunately, Mac window management has quite a lot to learn from Windows (especially window snapping).

To fullscreen an app without launching a new virtual desktop, hold down the Option key and mouse over the green button in the top left corner. A zoom option should then appear, which should fullscreen the window for you.

Or, just get an app to do it for you. Magnet is frequently used.
