airpods auto connect with iphone inside case when disable automatic ear detection. why should they put ear detection if airpods auto connect even put inside the case.

Troubleshooting AirPods Case:

AirPods will always be powered on. They are activated when in use, and then deactivate when not in use. So, try disabling them from associating with a different device.


Turn off Automatic Switching:

To stop this, turn off Automatic Switching. Do so on all devices.

  1. Go Here: Switch your AirPods to Another Device - Apple Support
  2. Scroll to: Turn off automatic switching
  3. Proceed from there as necessary
