My phone doesn't allow me to select the phone speaker while charging. I cannot charge my phone and play sound from the speaker at the same time.. On my friends phone you can swipe down to change where the sound plays, whether it's the phone speaker, headphones, or Bluetooth. But my phone deletes the option for the phone speaker when it is plugged in and is muted.

Thanks for providing those additional details. Going forward, are you using the charging cable and adapter that came with your iPhone, another Apple-certified charging cable and adapter, or a third-party charging cable and adapter?

To get started, we see from the screenshot that your iPhone is plugged into a docking station. Just to confirm, if you charge your iPhone using a charging cable and adapter that's connected to a wall outlet, does the same issue persist?

Yes, the phone says that it is connected to a docking station, this is an error. It is plugged into the wall outlet. The only way I am able to hear any sound while my phone is charging is if I use Bluetooth headphones which connect automatically.
