Why would you want malware on your computer?
Let's presume you mean you're interested in software that would remove malware. In general, the answer is no. Especially not Norton, Bitdefender, or any other typical AV software. They are useless.
The only such similar software experienced users would suggest is MalwareBytes for Mac. It's main purpose is to remove malware you may have already installed. It's free to use, and easily uninstalled from its own menus when you're done with it.

With MalwareBytes, you use it, then remove it. At any point in the future you decide to run it, you just download it again. Which ensures you'll always have the latest version with the latest definitions.
Haha! Yup, I definitely meant anti-malware software. I have MalwareBytes on my Mac because I installed it on the 11 year old Mac I just replace with a new one. I wasn't sure if I should update it or pitch it.
Thanks so much Kurt! I really appreciate the clarification.
You're welcome. 🙂
