iCloud storage claims it's full, but it's not

I keep getting messages on my MacBook that iCloud is full. I pay for extra storage so that shouldn't be an issue and there are only epub books and documents on it - no movies or music. Can anyone tell me how to resolve this problem?

Messages attachments taking up over 30GB, despite iCloud storage being turned on On my 2017 MacBook Pro 13", I have been running low on storage. I've deleted as much as I can, but one thing that remains is the space taken up by Messages—32.91GB. What confuses me is that all of my messages are stored in iCloud, so why is so much space being taken up on my mac? I am not running out of iCloud storage, and I have tried disabling/enabling iCloud storage in the Messages app with no success. My two main questions: Why are all of these attachments stored on my mac in the first place? And if I delete them, what will happen to the attachments that are in iCloud? I only have a 256GB ssd, and I desperately need the space to update XCode. Thank you in advance for your help!

iCloud full messages won't go away I've upgraded my iCloud storage and more than half again storage more than I need. However I continue to get iCloud full messages popping up, on the top of my documents etc on my Mac. How can I stop this. I tried to log out of iCloud and back in and all my documents disappeared and have long call to Apple guy to get them back so that is NOT the solution? Does anyone know?

iCloud storage is full but it's not - how to fix I got a Macbook Air M1 a few months ago. I don't have an iPhone, iPad, or other device accessing iCloud. Some time ago I started getting Finder messages that my. iCloud storage is full. I have the 5Gb "free" option. When I look in SysPrefs, AppleID, iCloud, it says I have 4.68Gb available. Nothing I have takes up much room. I have downloaded .mp4 files and photos but I always Trash them when I'm done with them and they don't appear anywhere I can see. Plus they don't show as taking space on iCloud. Any ideas how I can fix this and get the use of that other 4.68Gb of space?
