I have money on my account balance and want to use a debit card instead of the balance. Can’t seem to find a way to use the card instead of the account balance because it is automatically set to charge the account balance and no option to switch. Thanks in advance.

Gift the content to yourself, or use the Add Funds to Apple ID function, or get it from a Family Sharing subaccount.
