Why does AppleCare start date begin weeks before I will be in possession of the item it covers?
I purchased a new MacBook Pro M1 Max laptop and have been waiting weeks for it's arrival, that's not a problem. I received notice that AppleCare began, which is weeks before I am even in possession of the laptop. Support states that it begins when the computer is purchased, which makes sense, but how about when it has not even been delivered and is still weeks away from arrival? Apple is very sophisticated and will know when it is delivered and in my possession, so that is when the coverage should begin. I realize this seems trivial, but having used Apple products for 25+ years and having had to use AppleCare in the past, I feel it's a legitimate concern to not have AppleCare coverage for weeks at the end of its coverage period. If the products and coverage were less expensive it would not seem like a thing, but do to cost, this seems like a thing.
