Helping my dad with an issue. Hi MacOS is up to date and Safari is rev 15.2. In Safari preferences, he only has two options (boxed on screen shot) when it comes to what Safari opens at startup. Please see the attachment. Any thoughts? I trashed all com.apple.safari.plist files.

"Choose how each Safari session starts: with a new window, a new private window, all the windows from your last session, or all the non-private windows from your last session."

"If you don’t see this option, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click General , then make sure “Close windows when quitting an app” is selected." Check this setting and let us know if that helps. Learn more here:

Thanks so much for your reply however options “A new window” and “A new private window” are not available on the browser in question. The screen dump I attached was from my Safari preferences and I highlighted the only two selections my dad can choose from. Any ideas?
