I have Verizon iPhone 11 carrier bought phone from att but no longer having 5g

The iPhone 11 does not support 5G. Not with Verizon, not with AT&T. But AT&T, as a marketing gimmick, calls MIMO LTE (multichannel) “5Ge”. is is not true 5G, and verges on being a scam, but it is faster than plain vanilla LTE. Verizon has the same capabilities, but they don’t misleadingly call it 5Ge.

As Lawrence has already explained to you, 5G is not available on an iPhone 11. Only the 12 & 13 models can work with 5G.

"Why would you even have 3g?" Because your carrier still has an active 3G signal in your area, this has nothing to do with your phone.
