Purchasing iPhone in Korea from US

Hello, is it possible to purchase an iPhone through the apple website and have it shipped to Korea? Or go on the Korean apple website and purchase one with a US card or PayPal? Basically, I'm in the US and I want to send my mom a phone who's in Korea.

Apple does not ship internationally, and you cannot get into the Korean Apple Store and pay with a US credit card. Your best option would be to purchase the phone yourself and ship it to your mother on your own.

A phone purchased directly from Apple, either in an Apple store or https://apple.com/iphone and the phone is not subsidized by a carrier (that is, it is “SIM Free”) will work anywhere in the world. However, it can only be repaired by Apple, either in or out of warranty, in the US. So it would have to be returned to the US if it needed repair.
