Air Drop Glitchy between iMac and 13 Pro Max

My iPhone 13 Pro Max sends full resolution files to my iMac through Air Drop. The 12 Pro Max used to receive full resolution files back from my iMac; my 13 Pro Max does not, neither by Air Drop or iMessage. The files are greatly reduced: from 24 MB or 12 MB to 2 or even lower, 0.5 MB. Why is this happening with my new phone?

All software updates are current. I called Apple Support, and no one knew why this would be happening. I have more than enough space on my phone to review the files. I turned automatic iCloud uploads off, as I fill up my iPhone storage with large photos, when I import images in from my Nikon for sorting and editing.

Please make sure that both iOS and macOS are fully up to date. Latest versions are iOS 15.3 / macOS 12.2. If the problem still exists then report the bug via the Apple Feedback Assistant which is an official bug report that will be delivered to Apple Developers.

I would submit one for iOS and one for macOS. Be extremely detailed in the description of the problem and provide steps to duplicate the problem. The more concise and detailed you can be the better your chances of having the bug fixed in a future release of iOS / macOS.

If anyone else can also duplicate this problem, they should also submit a bug report.. The more people submitting a bug report raises the odds of it being noticed and the reports with useful information will more likely be addressed by the developers. For example, you can't just say "It's broke, fix it". You need to fully explain the problem and provide steps to recreate the problem in depth.
