Filling a second table's cell with a result, not formula

I would like to fill a second table's cell with the result of primary table's formula result. I don't want to include all of the columns from the source table, so some of the data is missing for the formula. I know I could copy and paste the results, but the values would not automatically update. Is there a way to have only the result populate the second table?

Yes, there is a way. If you want the second table to update automatically then you need to put formulas in the second table.

For example if B2 in Table 1 contains a result that you want to appear in the second table in a cell in the second table you would enter =Table 1::B2. The easiest way to do that would be to type = to bring up the formula editor and then just click cell B2 in Table 1.

If this doesn't address what you are trying to do then you can post a screenshot by typing shift-command4, drag cross-hairs to select area on the screen, release, then start new post here and insert the screenshot image from the Desktop by clicking the "mountains and moon" icon below this writing area.
