Printer box is blank after reset of print system

How can I get my mac to show the available printer on my network? It was not connecting so I reset the printer system. Now there are no printers showing when I try to add it back

Thanks for the reply. Actually I have managed to get the mac to re-establish communication with the printer, which is Canon TS8350, after several re-boots of the printer and router. It eventually located the serial number. Lets see if it keeps it now! The Canon now appears in the mac's printer list, so should be easier to manage from now on.

What specific printer?

Some printers require updated drivers for Monterey.

Some Printers do not have updated drivers available either.

What did you do before this problem started?

If not upgrading to Monterey or updating Monterey try booting to Safe Mode. That boot up takes minutes and clears caches and other things that may resolve your problem.

How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

A lot of times just boot to Safe Mode followed by normal boot resolves problems.
