FCPX is Beachballing and Slow/Lagging on MBP M1 Pro 64GB RAM

Per instructions from another thread here's a quick recap and EtreCheck Report

I did a migration from my 2014 MBP and most everything works amazingly well except FCPX which I use heavily. It takes 2 minutes just to load and lags with processing and pulling files from any drive. Full Disk Access has been given to FCPX and while I do have Chrome on here I removed and that did not help. Based on further comments from Tom Wolsky I have no attachment and can remove as long as Firefox will work with StreamElements.com a site I use for stream applications.

It looks like you migrated everything from an old machine. There's quite a bit of old software. One of the drives is full.

disk6s1 - T*******d

250.11 GB (223.68 GB used, 26.55 GB available, 26.39 GB free)

Mount point: /Volumes/T*******d

You also have CleanMyMac, which many here consider malware because it breaks the ProApps. You are also running Avast. If you want a additional malware software, run MalwareBytes periodically (not constantly). You've also got Chrome and keystone daemons.

IMO, the best thing you can do for your M1 is to do two complete backups (with Carbon Copy Cloner or the like), then completely erase your drive and reinstall the OS. Then migrate *only* the User data. No applications. Reinstall all your apps fresh from the App Store and from the developers' sites. This will take you a little while but the end result should be a clean, very snappy machine.

There's no need for "Cleaners" for files or memory on modern Macs. In fact, they can do more harm than good for the professional apps. I second Tom's advice to get rid of Avast and CMM. The best advice, especially since you say it won't be much work, is to wipe and start fresh. That way when the inevitable problem comes up, you won't be wondering, "Did CMM bork my system?"

The front end of website seems to work in Safari, but not the issue.

Ouch. I'm not great with EtreCheck reports, but between CleanMyMac, AVAST, Google and the keystone daemons I think you've pretty much killed the system performance. I would do a clean wipe and install of the OS, migrating only user accounts from your backup, and reinstalling the applications, leaving off this three.

The almost full drive is just a placeholder for working projects. I migrate things off of it periodically to free up space. I only use it for importing and exporting projects in FCPX. As far as the other programs, I was unaware that they are that disastrous to the machine. I could literally just wipe and start over if I had too, but I my question is this:

Would it not be enough to just clear out/uninstall the three mentioned programs? Chrome, Avast and I guess Clean My Mac?

What are better options are there to handle junk files and more specifically memory cleaners? I have a simple one called iCleanMemory and I do have Malwarebytes, I suppose I was sold a bag of goods on getting an all in one package with CleanMyMac.

Thanks for the review and any other advice is certainly welcome. I didn't spend this much on this machine to break it for sure.
