Cannot change calculator to display scientific notation (SN) for input and result. A key is provided (EE) to input in SN but the input is NOT shown in SN. If input or result exceeds maximum digits, SN is used

How do you tell Calculator to display in scientific notation? If the result exceeds the maximum number of digits, scientific notation is used to display the result, so the software is already there to handle the display. Also, the EE key is provided to input in scientific notation, so it seems the display should show in scientific notation. My TI-36 calculator has done this for over 35 years, surely the smartphone of today should give the same performance.

You're criticizing an extremely basic calculator..

If you want better or certain functionality, download a better calculator app.

I've been using Calculator Pro Elite for years, best calculator app I've used.

I just played with it quick and it allows customization where you can force it to function in scientific notation.
