It seems this is about a third party compatible remote as sold on Amazon, and perhaps elsewhere.

  • Some models have a button to mimic the “TV/Control Center” button on the Siri Remote.
  • Other models have a button with an ‘S’ instead.

These two do seem identical except for the print on one of the buttons.

This remote uses IR instead of bluetooth. This remote lacks Siri/dictation functionality. This remote lacks support for swiping gestures.

Note that this is not an Apple product. Apple and this forum are not endorsing this product. This forum is not the place for support on this product.

Hi Mary,

I do not know the AarooGo Remote control. Do you have part#s for the remotes you are looking at?

Fyi, AppleTV+ is a streaming service from Apple that shows original content such as Ted Lasso. The AppleTV+ button can be found on remotes from Roku, for instance. If you see a remote with the AppleTV+ (plus at the end), the remote is likely for quickly accessing the AppleTV+ streaming service.

AppleTV (no + at the end) is a a streaming hardware device from Apple. This device is wholly separate from AppleTV+ (though you can watch AppleTV+ from an AppleTV device just as you can also watch Netflix on an AppleTV device).
