Auto punctuation

Auto punctuation isn’t working. Like placing commas where they need to be an all that stuff

There is no auto punctuation. There's auto-capitalisation, auto-correction, check spelling and a bunch of other stuff. You need to put the commas in.

How to ensure words don't break after a punctuation mark? I recently found out about 'non-breaking spaces' which ensure that two words (for example, Mr. John) don't break into two lines when pushed towards the edge of a line. Similarly, is there a way to keep certain words or characters together after punctuation marks (for example, km/h and high-tech)? Thanks in advance for you help.
