FaceID worked. Photos worked -> software update -> true depth camera now disabled

My phone worked fine - FaceID worked. Photos worked. I received a software update is necessary notice so I updated. I restarted my phone and now nothing works. It says there’s a problem with true depth camera…but it’s never had a problem before updating

Anyone else have this experience? Apple is now saying I need to pay them $450+ dollars to repair it!

Apple are correct . The camera failed. Outside warranty (varies by country) you need to pay, usually for a replacement phone
