apple classroom disconnected

We have found out that as we entered a new school semester the teachers have the updated classes on their end but the students do not. If I sign them out of their AppleID and back in, the new data populates but leaves them in an "Authorizing" state on the teacher side and "Disconnected" on the student side. Has anyone seen this issue, or found a solution?
