Apple mail

I use Hotmail on my Apple Mail and I can receive mail but have not been able to send for the past week. This is on my MacBook Air. Mail works fine on my iPhone.



Also, when I go to check my inbox, I am always asked for my account password.

First in mail pick accounts and then the one that is the issue and delete using the - sign at the bottom. Then in mail select add account and follow the steps. Review this:
