Apple Watch S2 cannot be updated. After pairing, you can only update iPhone, not Apple Watch.
Have you tried updating the phone first and then try updating the watch?.
The mobile phone has been updated; after the update, there is no option to update the watch, and there is no prompt to update the watch if you have tried the old iOS version of 5S 6S.
Series 2 watch will only update to WatchOS6 so if that's what your watch is running then it is fully updated.
