thermal printer

I am new to Macs in general, trying to get a thermal printer up and running but there has been one issue after another. I am working with a desktop OS Monterey version 12.2 & the thermal printer is a BCL D100.

Driver is installed but I can not get the BCL utility software on my desktop, I am stuck with an error message. PLease Help!

The utility software is Windows not macOS. You’ll need Mac compatible software to send data to the label printer.


You should be able to print using something that can send labeled size paper for that printer. Such as Pages or Word.


But there’s usually specialized niche market software to print say shipping labels or barcode parts labels, QR codes, etc.

I used to work with larger sized label printers that ran at about 12" per seconds thermal transfer with color. Also printing ID badges and access cards, etc. Please describe your usage scenario in more detail.


Size of the labels? Type of labels? Manually entered one-off only printing one or two at a time? Needing to print from a dataset in a database, spreadsheet, CSV file, etc.? Needing barcodes, QR codes, etc.?
