Can I update my OS eventhough im using an old macbook pro? I'm using MacBook pro mid 2012 with OS X 10.9.5 (13F1911). and currently Im experiencing problem in updating my chrome and other apps that I need yo update. what should I do?

You may update to MacOS Catalina (10.15). This explains how.
