Nothing. Laptop was on with Mail, Messages, Calendar, FT, Preview and Pages. Certainly things the Mac has had no trouble with the in past.
Keychain a week ago to find a password for a website -didn't alter any settings (and don't think that was the "System" keychain but rather one of the 2 at the top. OHHH I did update to 12.2.2?

Since then I gave in and pressed reset to defaults. The pop ups kept coming up every few seconds, even when I hadn't cancelled the last one.
Probably unrelated by my MacBook Air is running very slow. It seems sluggish in a memory-type way. Which is odd for first months when I got it it could handle anything without complaint. It was better than my old 15" Retina Pro. I don't run anything serious like movie or sound editing, CAD or ML modelling,
I learnt the hard lesson yonks ago not to use third party utilities when things go wrong. So sticking to Apple stuff (but might give Etre a go if you think helpful) So if anyone can suggest anything.
