No notification on some texts!!
How did 2 of my most important texts get silenced! I now have found the phone icon with a slash & turned it back on, but I’d like to know how it got turned off in the first place!!

It is possible to "Mute" individual messages. For example, if you have a group conversation you do not want to receive notifications from at the moment.
Mute is turned on / off by swiping from right to left on the specific message thread where two functions appear, Mute and Delete. I would think you just came to swipe the message, and be unaware that you got the Mute button pressed.
