Unable to activate my Apple ID

Good day,

I need help in getting access back into my Apple ID account as my trusted device was logged out and it seems like I have forgotten my password. I changed my device and I’m having issues trying to log on into my Apple ID from my new device it keeps telling me ‘this Apple ID is not active’. 

Please I need a feedback on how to rectify this issue as that my particular Apple ID has all my information on it.
