macOS Monterey 12.2.1 - after update firewall stealth mode allows ping response

Just upgraded this morning to 12.2.1. Part of my routine after update is to run a port scan from the internet. I use grc.com "Shields Up". It is reporting that my Mac is responding to Ping requests from the internet. I checked the Mac firewall, and "Enable Stealth Mode" is enabled as it always is. Has anyone else noticed this?

Turn off the firewall on Mac OS, it is redundant if you are using a router and is not necessary. Routers already have firewalls on them and using Apple OS's firewall feature on top of that is not needed. The only reason Mac OS has a firewall integrated into it is if you have your modem connected directly to the Mac via Ethernet and do not use a router at all. These days, I would find that highly unlikely.

If you still want to use Mac OS's firewall, okay however I'd recommend moving this thread to the Monterey forum instead of a general iMac forum.
