Using my iphone when travelling overseas

I'll be travelling to Japan for 2 weeks, what do I need to do to use my iphone XS there without paying extra? Is it possible?

You have a number of choices including getting a SIM card from a Japanese telecom. A number of countries, including Japan, makes it easy for travelers by providing cellular kiosks at their major airports specifically designed for foreign travelers to obtain local service while in country.


Alternately, you can contact your current cellular provider to see what they offer in these situations. However, typically, they come at an additional cost.
