I got an IPad from someone, but their Apple ID is still on it. I can,t get the password from them so how do I log out from their account and onto mine?

The previous owner needs to go to https://www.icloud.com/find/ and erase the device, then remove it from their account. If they won't do that, the device is useless. Apple won't unlock it.

You can't get around it. It is an anti-theft system. Ask the former owner to do the steps in the article below.
The individual says that did this, unlocking mac from their icloud. The laptop still has their icloud account on it. How do i get past/around this?
