Why does it not work after just a couple of days not using my Mac Book Air?

I find that Touch ID on my Mac Book Air stops working after I have not used it in a few days. No where do I find on Apple's site or any site that this is normal. This, and a very spotty history with Touch ID on past iPhones I have have me concluding that Touch ID on Apple devices does not work, at least not for me. Face ID works perfectly and I hope Apple hurries up and introduces it on the Mac.

Recommend this to Apple:

Do your Part: Inform Apple of your feedback. Apple wont get back to you directly, but the more feedback thy receive from its users, the more likely they will know what their customers prefer, and what to include in models to come.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - MacBook Air - Apple
  2. Select: "Feature Request" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: on why you want this to come back
  4. Proceed from there as necessary
