How come my btinternet mail has stop coming through on my new iPad ?

I have transferred from iPad mini to iPad Air and not all of my email folders and contents came through. Then my btinternet mail stopped coming ? Any suggestions I have tried switching on and off, checked all the settings etc. it just stopped working after being ok !
