What is the best anti-malware software for imac

None. There are no viruses that affect macOS, and any Trojans will go right past them. They are useless.


The only title experienced Mac users here recommend is MalwareBytes for Mac. Its main purpose is to try and find, then remove any malware you've already installed. It's free to use as a full version for 14 days. After that, it will continue to function as an on-demand scanner.


When you're done with it, you can leave it installed (even the free version will get definition updates), or remove it from its own menu option. You can always download it again in the future.
