iPod connection issues

My iPad recently stopped working in my 2020 Honda CRV. I've tried a new cord, resetting the iPod, using the AUX button instead of the iPad button, but nothing has worked. The iPod works in another car so it's not the iPod. Any suggestions?

Hello wscheiwe,

We see you're having an issue connecting your iPod to your car, and we'd be happy to help.

This page has some additional steps that may help, such as updating iOS on the iPod, if using an applicable model: How to connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your car

For vehicles using CarPlay that have issues with it, there are some further steps to try out here: If you need help with CarPlay

Cheers.

Please believe me when I say that I really do not wish to sound snorty but there really is only one solution for you.

Buy a new car…

Here is why. For years Apple touted the MFI program sending 3rd party manufacturers through endless hoops to ensure comparability with iPods, iPads and iPhones. All good yes? Well, it was until Apple screwed everybody by wrecking things on their end. The “iPod interface” has been buggy for years and now it seems Apple finally gave up on it.

My 2010 Volvo has never received any software updates since it left the factory. It is “iPod compatible”, has been so for years but no longer is. As you probably realise, I cannot blame Volvo.
