Use Safari to access it. Here's the website.

I deleted cookies, as much as I love cookies, especially chocolate chip. In settings, search for Safari, then scroll down to “clear history and website data” . Select “Advanced”, then “Website data”, and slide “nyt.com to the left and select “delete”. This works on iPad, at least.

Hey Apple, why is this so obscure?

Heard back from nyt and they sent me a link to load in my browser which works, with no score history and it doesn’t keep your game during the day. I have to use it every time. So it’s on their end and is a peculiar glitch only on specific unlucky devices. I may go to see if a “genius bar” person can help.
