Please please please remove the “one more minute” option. How is this not on your radar to fix? Also, Apple, if you are fixing it, what is the estimated timeframe? This is causing so many arguments in our home.

Meanwhile, perhaps have a basic flip phone you can swap out for the iPhone should your rules about its use not be obeyed. Most phones use the same size SIM these days.

As we all agree Apple has turn their eye over and over on this issue , even with thousands of parents requesting it. Imagine the not tech savvy parents that have no clue of their children’s behaviors online.

The only thing i can say that works and it has worked for us, is to have control over your router and modem. Check with your isp or wifi as you can restrict the internet from being used to the devices connected to it.

We schedule the Wiifi router to disconnect our child’s device from the internet until the next day during weekdays and late nights and she has NO control even the 1 min feature that Apple has failed to disable.

Hope it works!

My child is using his ipad for 3 or more hours a day because of the stupid "One more minute" feature. He has allocated time for all apps. But then he repeatedly presses One more minute on other apps and individual web site addresses: Youtube.com, Youtube.ca, Youtube.co.uk, Youtube.fr, etc. You get the idea. It's driving me crazy. I want to disable "One more minute".

I also want to manually put in how much longer he can use the device for. It's not ever just 15 min, 1 hour or all day. I want to manually put in 5 min, 10 min or 30 min, or whatever I want.

There is no control right now for parents. There are SO many loopholes. But out of all the loopholes, this one is the most frustrating and seems to me to be the easiest to change.

The app limits function is consistently temperamental and frequently does not work. I have tried so many things to fix this including following the many instructions posted to various threads, watched numerous YouTube videos, followed the instructions on the Apple website, installed the latest iOS software on my phone and that of my child’s. It is so irritating.

My settings have been like this for a long time and my child keeps doing the One More Minute thing, and all apps limits are set to "Block at the end." I mean, the apps do block at the end but he keeps doing one more minute for other things, I don't know what else to do. Meanwhile, my other 2 kids have Chromebooks, so easy to manage... not even fair how much Android kicked Apple's behind on the simplicity for parents to manage screen time for their children.
