I like to leave AirTag in my car but sometimes I share my car with my partner will AirTag make noise if it’s moved to different locations and I’m not near it?

AirTag separated from owner I read from apple’s materials that ‘any AirTag separated from its owner for a period of time will emit a sound when it is moved’; I want to know how long is ‘a period of time’ here? Also another question: assume I attach AirTag on my car, and I’m going on a vacation so leave my car at home (separated from me), will that AirTag emit a sound when my family member drives my car?
