Canon Powershot 540HS stopped connecting to Lightroom

Hi there,

I have been uploading photos from my camera to Lightroom on my Mac using wifi, but after not using it for a few months it seems to have stopped recognising my Mac, and it wont connect to my iPad either.

I don’t have a USB for the camera (and apparently a USB wont work if the wifi is enabled anyway) so I’m getting nowhere.

Camera says no devices detected, iPad says no camera connected, Mac says nothing. Pretty useless having a wifi enabled camera if it wont connect, and now I have a shoot of photos I can’t access.

Any help appreciated!

When you contacted Adobe about their product Lightroom, what did they tell you?

Also, have you done any basic troubleshooting such as restarting Safe Mode:

Please click How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support link.

Note: If you are using a wireless keyboard please either plug it in using the supplied Lightning cable that shipped with it. If you are using a legacy keyboard or a third-party keyboard that does not have re-charging abilities, please use any USB keyboard. Also note that a Safe Mode restart may require you to hold down the shift key for up to 5 minutes before the computer starts in Safe Mode. You will know it is in Safe Mode when you see “Safe Mode” in the upper right of the display.

Next, please restart normally and please retest.
